Isaure, a student from the European Business School wanted to talk about her arrival in Shanghai. Here is the email she sent us:

-- My first day in Shanghai

That was it. The big day finally arrived; my bags were packed, my visa was in my passport, I had my ticket in hand, heading for my internship in Shanghai.

After a pleasant flight I finally landed safely. Barely off the plane, customs passed and my luggage recovered; here I am facing one member of the INA team. After introducing ourselves we rode to the big city with our driver. On the way, we discussed the program and formalities I should know and I was able to catch a glimpse of the Expo site, and a few of the Shanghai skyscrapers.

Also, one of the great things here is that I'm being taken straight to my apartment. No nights in an improvised hotel room before finding what will be my new home. At this moment my stress disappears, I realize I had arrived, I was well-surrounded and my stay could not start in a better way! When I discovered my flat, I was glad, and the district looked nice. They gave me my Chinese phone –in order to stay in touch with my family asap- my insurance card, transportation card and a survival kit to know better how to navigate this wonderful jungle. In short, I received all that I needed to enjoy my new life from the beginning.

Let’s see what happens next!
